It is known that high power loads tend to concentrate on the small area of the ring and pinion. This makes the backlash setting and maintenance extremely important for the longevity of the final gear. The stock pinion spacer, due to its structure and material, does not have the strength and can be prone to change the backlash and in a worst case scenario, to collapse. Most of the differential noise and blow are caused by this backlash change. J’s Racing Special Differential Distance Collar is made of S45C carbon steel and replaces the stock pinion spacer. By maintaining the proper backlash, it prevents the differential problems that can occur.

It requires one distance collar shim (sold separately)

S2000 Differential Magnetic Drain Bolt

With a 4,240 gauss magnet that catches iron powder and sludge that are floating in the differential oil. By catching those particles before they cause damage to the differential parts, the magnetic drain bolt contributes to a longer life of your LSD, ring gear, pinion gear and bearings. In order to prevent loosening of the drain bolt we have added several holes for wire locking.


We highly recommend this product for the S2000 with mechanical LSD (clutch type LSD).
